Community Guidelines

Version 1.0 · Effective date: October 22, 2026

Answered exists for quiet, voluntary correspondence between adults. These Guidelines are part of our Terms of Service and apply to everything you send through community features. Breaking them can get your content removed or your account suspended or terminated.

1. Adults only

You must be 18 or older to use community features. The App asks you to confirm this when you create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will terminate it and delete the associated data. See the Child Safety Policy.

2. Be a decent correspondent

Do not send content or behave in ways that:

3. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse

We have a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any sexualisation of minors. We remove such content, terminate the accounts involved, preserve the relevant records, and report to the appropriate authorities (including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the United States). See the Child Safety Policy.

4. How to report and block

5. How we enforce these rules

When we receive a report or otherwise become aware of a violation, we may, at our sole discretion and with or without notice:

We are not obligated to monitor all content, but we act on reports. We may appeal-proof our decisions by keeping a record for up to 12 months as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Your own words

Answered is for questions you mean to answer. Do not use it to pressure anyone, and do not use automated means to mass-message. Private request desks stay on your own device and are never sent to us.
