Delete Your Account

Version 1.0 · Effective date: October 22, 2026

Answered lets you delete your community account at any time, without contacting support. This page covers both the in-app path and what to do if you cannot sign in.

Delete in the App (recommended)

  1. Open Answered and go to the Me tab.
  2. Tap Delete community account.
  3. Confirm Permanently delete community account in the dialog.
  4. The server confirms the deletion, then the App clears your community letters and identity from the device.

You do not need to email us, and no password is required beyond being signed in. If the App cannot reach the server, deletion is not reported as complete; retry when you are online.

If you cannot sign in

Email answerediosfeedback@answeredyes.com with the subject “Delete my account”, from the address on the account, or tell us the Apple ID you used with Sign in with Apple. To protect you, we may ask for enough information to confirm you own the account. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

Deletion also removes your account from the App’s community features. Content already delivered to other users’ devices may remain in their copy of the conversation, just as an email you received stays in your mailbox.

What stays on your device

Your private request desk and drafts are stored locally and are not part of the community account. Deleting the community account does not delete them. To remove them, delete the items in the App or delete the App from your device.

What we may retain, and for how long

This matches Section 8 (Data Retention) of the Privacy Policy.

Deleting data without deleting your account

You can remove individual letters and desk items in the App at any time, and you can sign out on a shared device. For a privacy request that does not delete the whole account (access, correction, copy), email us with the subject “Privacy request”.
